HACC announces plans for Lebanon Trade and Technology Center
On February 17, HACC unveiled a long-range plan to create a Lebanon Trade and Technology Center as a leading force in meeting the workforce needs of the Lebanon Valley. During the past year, the HACC Lebanon Campus conducted a workforce and business assessment with more than 100 businesses and organizations to determine which industries are in need of workforce development training in the county. The results led HACC to conceptualize the Lebanon Trade and Technology Center, which will focus on health care, industrial technology, business, and food service. The Center's mission is to offer workforce training in partnership with local industry to grow local talent, develop and operate unique training institutes to draw business to the region, collaborate with local industry and other educational institutions to leverage resources, and create a pipeline for high school students to move into technical degree fields.
