Classified Employee Benefit Summary

Classified Employees are eligible for the following benefits...

Dental
The College provides insurance paying a percentage of costs based on a prevailing rate schedule after a calendar year deductible of $25 per person is met. Dental coverage is provided through United Concordia.

Employee Assistance Program
The College contracts with Life Management Associates (LMA), to provide an Employee Assistance Program to its full and part-time employees and household members.

Flexible Spending Account
The College funds $750 for placement in a medical flexible spending account known as the HACC Plan. These dollars can be used to pay IRS eligible medical expenses. The Flexible Spending Account is provided through Allied Benefits.

Medical
Employees contribute a small amount towards the cost of their medical coverage through payroll deductions determined by their base salary. Employees may elect to join either Point of Service (POS) or Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) offered by Capital Blue Cross.

Retirement
Upon employment, the new employee may choose one of the three following plans: TIAA/CREF, Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System or Pennsylvania State Employee’s Retirement System. Employees are covered by a retirement plan on the first day worked.

Supplemental Retirement Plans
The employee may elect to contribute additional amounts into a supplemental retirement savings plan, on a tax deferred basis, up to limits prescribed by law. The Supplemental Retirement Plans are offered through either TIAA/CREF or Fidelity.

Tuition Assistance
Employees have the option to request financial assistance for job-related courses at the College or any institution according to established guidelines.

Vision
The College provides insurance for eye care for the employee and eligible dependents. Vision coverage is provided by National Vision Administrators (NVA).
