These scholarships are awarded to selected students according to the criteria of their donors and/or faculty/staff nomination. Students do not apply for them.
Act 101 Academic Achievement Award
The award is given to students in the Act 101 program who have completed two semesters or more and have maintained high academic performance.
Act 101 Perseverance Award
The award is given to students who exhibit persistence and determination in their educational pursuits through significant use of Act 101 services.
Act 101 Service to Program Award
The award is given to a student in the Act 101 program in recognition of outstanding contributions to the Act 101 program and the College.
Alice A. Albert Memorial Award
The Alice A. Albert Memorial Award is graciously presented to a female student, enrolled in either Business Management or Entrepreneurial Studies, with a GPA of 3.0, and who demonstrates financial need.
American Chemical Society Award
The outstanding second-year chemistry student is selected by the faculty for this award.
Army Nurse Corps Spirit of Nursing Award
The award is presented to the graduate who exemplifies the spirit of nursing through community and professional involvement, leadership, and academic excellence. The recipient becomes a candidate for the national Spirit of Nursing award.
Business Faculty Award for Academic Excellence
A $100 cash award will be given to a graduating student in any associate degree Business program offered in the BET or WED divisions. The student receiving this award clearly represents the standard of academic excellence valued by the faculty of Business programs.
Capitol Area Association for the Education of Young Children Early Childhood Education Award
The award is presented to an outstanding student who has shown academic excellence and a commitment to the field of early childhood education.
Chemical Rubber Company Freshman Chemistry Award
Chemistry faculty select the outstanding freshman chemistry student based on academic achievement.
Construction Specifications Institute Contest Awards
Given by the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute, the awards are presented to the winners of a specification-writing contest.
Culinary Arts Volunteer Service Awards
Fifteen-dollar gift certificates are presented by United Restaurant Equipment, Inc. to two students currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program who have donated the highest number of hours beyond classroom study as volunteers to projects within the HACC community and/or to projects within the community at large.
Dental Hygiene Faculty Award
A $100 U.S. Savings Bond is presented to the student who demonstrates a positive attitude and an enthusiasm for the profession he or she is about to enter.
Dental Hygiene Hollister Award
A certificate and pin are presented by the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association to the student who is the most preventive-oriented in the approach to dental hygiene care.
Gettysburg Hospital Nursing Scholarship
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0; be enrolled either full or part-time in the Gettysburg nursing program; have unmet need as demonstrated by completing the free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and must be a candidate for graduation in the Nursing Program.
Harrisburg Hilton and Towers Outstanding Hotel Student Award
The recipient of this award must be a graduating Hotel and Motel Management major, must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, and must have demonstrated hospitality leadership quality.
Harrisburg Marriott Promising Hotel Marketer Award
The recipient of this award must be graduating in the Hotel and Motel Management program with a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrate excellence in hospitality marketing, and display enthusiasm for the career field.
Institute of Management Accountants Student Award
An annual award is presented to a graduating student who has exhibited scholarly achievement in accounting courses and who plans to pursue a professional career in accounting. Faculty select the recipients.
Lancaster Campus Outstanding Career Program Graduate
The award is presented by the Lancaster Campus to the student graduating from a career program on that campus who has the highest GPA.
Lancaster Campus Outstanding Transfer Program Graduate
The award is presented by the Lancaster Campus to the student graduating from a transfer program on that campus who has the highest GPA.
Law Enforcement Educational Foundation Scholarship
Must be enrolled in Police Science or Criminal Justice and
Lebanon Campus Outstanding Career Program Graduate
The award is presented by the Lebanon Campus to the student graduating from a career program on that campus who has the highest GPA.
Lebanon Campus Outstanding Transfer Program Graduate
The award is presented by the Lebanon Campus to the student graduating from a transfer program on that campus who has the highest GPA.
MSAH Division Outstanding Student Service Award
A $100 U.S. Savings Bond is presented to a student in the Division who has demonstrated academic excellence and performed outstanding college and community service.
Outstanding Culinary Arts Student Award
A $50 U.S. Savings Bond is presented to the student who has shown the most promise as a culinarian and who has a combination of good grades, enthusiasm, and commitment beyond the average student.
Outstanding Dietary Manager Student Award
A $50 U.S. Savings Bond is presented by the Pennsylvania Dietary Managers Association to the student who has exhibited outstanding academic commitment and excellence in the pursuit of a career.
Outstanding Food Service Management Student Award
A $50 U.S. Savings Bond is presented by the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association to the student who has exhibited academic commitment and excellence beyond the ordinary in the food service management field.

Outstanding Freshman Math/Computer Science Award
The award is based on academic achievement.
Outstanding High School Mathematics Student Award
The award is based on academic achievement.
Outstanding Human Services Student Award
The award is presented to the student who displays exceptional dedication and leadership in the field of human services and high academic achievement.
Outstanding Legal Assistant Student Award
The award is presented to a student in the field of legal assistance who has demonstrated high academic achievement.
Outstanding Sophomore Architectural Technology Student Award
The award is based on academic achievement.
Outstanding Sophomore Electronic Engineering Technology Student Award
The award is based on academic achievement.
Outstanding Sophomore Mechanical Engineering Technology Student Award
The award is based on academic achievement.
Outstanding Sophomore GMÐASEP Student Award
The award is based on academic achievement.
Outstanding Theater Student Award
The award is based on the recipient's participation in and commitment to his or her classwork and the College's theater program.
Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's Award
This award is presented for high academic achievement in accounting to a student who will transfer to a four-year institution and study accounting. Faculty select the recipient.
Pennsylvania Society for Respiratory Care Therapist Student Recognition Award
A membership renewal to the American Association for Respiratory Care is presented to the student who consistently demonstrates overall academic and clinical excellence.
Professionalism in Dental Hygiene Award
The award is presented by the Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York Dental Hygiene Societies to the student who demonstrates the highest level of professionalism in all aspects of dental hygiene. This includes the areas of education, ethics, cooperation, clinical care, and community achievement. Association dues will be paid for the first year of membership following graduation.
Public Safety Student Excellence Award
The award is presented to a student in the field of public safety who has demonstrated high academic achievement.
Joseph P. Shettig Memorial Accounting Award
A plaque and a one-year subscription to Business Week are presented to a graduating accounting student who has attended college on a part-time basis for at least half of the credits earned. Faculty will select the recipient based on exhibited academic excellence. The award is presented in memory of a former accounting professor.
Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society
Graduating students are invited to join the Honor Society by achieving a high class standing, overall excellence in clinical skills, and professional demeanor.
SKAL - Hotel, Restaurant, Travel and Tourism Scholarship
Must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Hotel and Motel Management; Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management; or Travel and Tourism who have completed their first year and have financial need. Recipients are selected by faculty members of these programs.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers Scholarship
A $250 scholarship is awarded to a first-year Mechanical Engineering Technology student who attains high academic standing and demonstrates financial need. Engineering technology faculty select the recipient.
SUNY Institute of Technology Medal for Academic Excellence
Given by the State University of New York College of Technology at Utica/Rome, this award is based on academic excellence in the technology area.
Talent Roster of Outstanding Transfer Students
The award is presented to academically promising students who have a GPA of at least 2.75, who have completed 60 credits, and who are enrolled in a transfer program with an interest in pursuing their first baccalaureate degree.
