Phi Beta Lambda Business Club

Join Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) and take advantage of the many programs PBL offers to help you acquire skills that will set you apart from the average graduate!


What is Phi Beta Lambda?

Phil Beta Lambda is the collegiate division of the national association, Future Business Leaders of America - Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL).
FBLA-PBL is the largest student business organization in the nation with over 250,000 members in over 13,000 chartered chapters.

What Do We Do?

  • Plan exciting field trips
  • Invite and benefit from guest speakers
  • Co-sponsor programs with other campus organizations
  • Practice servant leadership with community service activities
  • Complete at PBL State Leadership Conference
  • Earn recognition, scholarships and awards
  • Build (as individuals) a portfolio of documented accomplishments
  • Give ourselves a competitive advantage over the other job-seekers!

Gain Leadership Experience:  Employers want to see proven leadership.  Here is your chance!  Our PBL Chapter offers many opportunities for leadership from formal office to event chair and more.  You can also serve as a State or National Officer of PBL!

State & National Competitions:  Compete against the best of the best across the state and the country.

Scholarships:  Members are eligible for a number of scholarships.

And, of course, Build your Social Network right here at HACC!:  As a member of PBL, you'll have opportunities for a higher visibility role on campus.  And, we do tend to have a good time with what we do!

Who Can Join?

Any student, in any major, with any GPA can join.  Executive Board members maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5

When are the Meetings?

Meetings are held every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 3:15 in Room 202.  Members can join meetings either in person, or, virtually through approved technology.
