Why was HACC’s Trade and Technology Center established?
The demand for skilled workers is high in Central Pennsylvania. And many skilled workers will be retiring over the next 20 years. Employers in our area need people with the right knowledge and training, and that need will continue to grow. HACC has already been offering some programs at its former Community Center for Technology and Arts (CCTA). The new Midtown facility will offer even more programs and training options utilizing state-of-the-art space and equipment.
Where's it located?
The new 130,000 square foot facility, Midtown 2, is located at Third and Reily Streets in Midtown Harrisburg, about a block away from HACC's existing facility, Midtown 1 (formerly CCTA), which was recently renovated. Midtown is a growing area with new houses being built and new businesses moving in. With an "urban meadow" connecting it to the Midtown 1 building, Midtown 2 is at the center of this exciting new urban development.
