Fall 2010 Season News:
Oct. 14th - The HACC Hawks took on Penn State University, Harrisburg in their annual Ryder Cup Tournament. Despite some rainy weather at Royal Manchester in York, the Hawks were ready to play, and made PSU-Harrisburg fight to regain control of the Cup, which they did with a 8-4 win over the Hawks. The Hawk's coach, Tim Birney said "We will be back to retake the cup next year!"

Oct. 12th - Members of the HACC Golf Team traveled to Penn National Resort in Fayeteville, PA to compete in the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association State Tournament, those members were: Brandon Boal, Nabil Dawood, Justin WIlliams, and J.D. Maiman. It was great weather for golf; the tournament consists of two rounds of golf, taking place over two days. On the first day HACC shot a team total of 245, and then finished day two with a team score of 254. Their combined score for the two days of 499 put them in a tie with Butler County Community College, from the WPCC, for 5th place. Congratulations to J.D. Maimain for making the All-State Team, his two round total of 153 was the third lowest score in the tournament. The last event for the Golf Team is the annual Ryder Cup Tournament as the Hawks look to defend their title against Penn State University, Harrisburg.

Oct. 4th - The HACC Golf Team traveled to the Golden Oaks Golf Course in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania to participate in the 2010 EPCC Golf Tournament. The team finished the day off by finishing in 4th place with a team score of 181, and qualifying four individuals for the PCAA Tournament held Oct. 10th-12th at the Penn National Resort in Fayeteville, PA. The qualifiers are pictured below from left to right: Brandon Boal, Nabil Dawood, Justin Williams, and J.D. Maiman. Congratulations Hawks & good luck at States!

Sept. 29th - The 2010 HACC Golf Team competed in the last tournament of regular EPCC season play today, which was hosted by Delaware County Community College, as they traveled to Springfield Country Club. Overall, this season has been a learning experience for the entire golf team, which is composed of all freshman, but with their determination and good spirit they have made it this far. The team took fourth place at the tournament on Wednesday, with a score of 358. This places them in fourth place overall in the EPCC Team Season Standings with a total of 2,013, only 40 strokes behind Delaware CCC in third place. On Monday, October 4th, the team travels to the EPCC Tournament which is being held at Golden Oaks in Fleetwood, PA. How they finish at the EPCC Tournament will determine who will move on to participate in the PCAA Tournament, which is held October 10th to 12th at Penn National Resort in Fayetteville, PA.

Sept. 20th- The Golf Team has the opportunity each year to participate in the HACC Foundation's annual golf tournament for scholarships at HACC. The 2010 HACC Foundation Golf Tournament was held at Hershey Country Club, and HACC's 2010 Golf Team participants proved themselves as they raised over $800.00 with their "Rent-A-Drive" program for the HACC Foundation. This year's participants were Assistant Coach Jason Purcell, Nabil Dawood, Matt Berger, and Justin Williams. Great job gentlemen!!!!

Sept. 14th - The HACC Golf Team hosted their home golf tournament of the 2010 season at the Links at Hershey. It was a beautiful day for golf, but the wind was going strong and proved to be a challenge to everyone. The Links at Hershey is one of the most difficult courses that the EPCC plays on during the golf season. This year's team is comprised of all first year athletes, who will be able to utilize everything they learned from their day on the course to improve for next year.

Sept. 10th - The HACC Golf Team traveled to their third tournament of the season, hosted by Luzerne CC at Wilkes-Barre Municipal Golf Course. The course was a slight challenge for the team as they came in at third place behind Lehigh Carbon CC and Northampton CC. With a team score of 336 strokes, the HACC Golf Team is now tied for second place overall in the EPCC Team Standings.

| Sept. 3rd - The HACC Golf Team came out strong for the second EPCC Tournament of the season at Green Pond Country Club hosted by Northampton Community College.They beat out Delaware CCC by 1 stroke, with a team score of 326, to take second place behind Lehigh Carbon CC. J.D. Maiman came out swinging strong, and was the medalist of the tournament with a score of 72. Maiman is now tied for first place in the EPCC Individual standings. The HACC Golf Team plays host to the EPCC Conference on Tuesday, September 14th at their home course, The Links at Hershey.
