Academic Tutoring and Testing Services Available for all HACC York Students

The York Center's Learning Center provides tutoring and academic skills development at no cost to full and part time HACC students. Located right down the hall from the Welcome Center, the Learning Center is staffed with trained peer and professional tutors who know how to help you succeed. Tutoring for a variety of courses is offered Monday through Saturday, mornings, afternoons, and evenings on a walk-in basis. Weekend hours may be available. The Learning Center commonly offers tutoring in the following courses: Math English (including Writing for all subjects) Chemistry Biology (including A&P) Computer Applications Reading Tutoring sessions for additional courses may also be arranged.

Supplemental Resources: Throughout the semester, the Learning Center offers a variety of workshops aimed at helping students develop academic survival skills. Additionally, the Center has numerous software packages available for students to use at their convenience. Students can practice their skills with several mathematics and algebra, grammar and writing, and human anatomy programs. The Center also has an array of informational handouts to assist students with learning skills, including such topics as note-taking, time management, study tips, and test preparation.
