If you've been out of high school for three or more years, you are considered an adult student at HACC. Adults often find themselves in transition, or changing from one status in life to another. It is this transition that causes them to return to learning.
HACC is a premier leader in adult education and is striving to make college convenient and affordable for those who want to improve their lives. Despite the added time management and financial challenges of going back to school, adults believe education is an investment that pays off. Adults continue to return to the class room in record numbers. Nationally and locally, adult enrollment is approaching 50% of all students taking classes. HACC is helping adults improve their skills in the workplace, start new careers or change their current career to something more stable and enjoyable. Baby Boomers, ever young and redefining the term "retirement," are preparing for exciting new careers that will keep their minds active and permit them to give back to their communities in a meaningful way.
