In 2006 HACC discontinued the use of Social Security numbers for identification purposes. Current and former students were assigned a HACCid which is now being used as their identifier.
You will need your HACCid for on-campus services such as requesting transcripts, the library, bookstore, fitness center, tutoring lab, etc. You will need your HACCid and also your password (formerly PIN) to access your HACC record online via HACCWeb. Beginning with the students in Spring 2003 a password was set for them. Students prior to Spring 2003 must request that a password be set.
I don’t know what my HACCid/password is and/or I can’t remember the answer to my security question. How do I obtain my HACCid/reset my password?
Due to security reasons we cannot release HACCid or password through an email or over the phone.
Go to the Welcome Center at the campus nearest you. Upon making the request, you will need to present an officially authorized photo ID, such as a driver’s license. (The HACCid will not be provided nor the password set/reset to a 3rd party without specific, written and signed consent from the student.)
If it is not convenient for you to come to campus, your HACCid will be mailed to you if you fax us the following information (see campus fax numbers below):
- A statement signed by you asking HACC to provide you with your HACCid and/or to have your password reset
- Your name, including former name if enrolled at HACC previously under that name
- Your address
- Your telephone number
- Your date of birth
- A copy of your driver’s license or other officially authorized photo ID
- Your HACCid (password reset requests only)
When do I need a password number?
If you want to access your HACC record on-line via HACCWeb, you will need your HACCid and a password.
What is my password?
The first time you access HACCWeb your password is your date of birth in the form of MMDDYY. You will then be prompted to create a new password. You are permitted to enter a six to fifteen character password that must include one number.
You will also be prompted to create a security question and answer. Your answer is case sensitive, so be careful how you enter your answer.
The security question and answer is used in case you forget your password. You will be able to enter just your HACCid and press the Forgot Password button. Your security question will appear. If you successfully answer your security question (remember the answer is case sensitive) you will be able to reset your password.
I can’t remember my password. What do I do?
The security question and answer is used in case you forget your password. Type in your HACCid, leave the password field blank, and click on the Forgot Password? button. Your security question will appear. If you successfully answer your security question (remember the answer is case sensitive) you will be able to reset your password.
I can’t remember the answer to my security question. How do I get my password re-set?
Go to the Registration Office/Welcome Center at the campus nearest you. You will need to supply a photo ID.

What is an Advising Code (formerly Alternate PIN)?
An Advising Code is the digital form of your advisor’s signature. The Advising Code is a different code from your login password. The Advising Code is needed to register for classes through HACCWeb. You must meet with your advisor to obtain the Advising Code.
You need an Advising Code if your GPA is below 2.0, if you are in certain majors, or if you are in your first year of classes. If you are unsure whether you need an Advising Code, just meet with your advisor and ask him/her and/or read through the Advisor Approval to Register page.
