Important Notice on Student Withdraws or Attendance:

A re-calculation of financial aid may be done for students who stop attending or withdraw from some or all of their classes. The re-calculation could result in financial aid being removed from the student account resulting in a balance due to the College. Students receiving refunds from financial aid that is removed, may have an additional balance due to the College. This will result in financial holds preventing future registrations, receipt of grades, and/or transcript requests.

Disbursement/Refund Schedule:

Financial Aid Refunds – Summer I and Summer II Class

*If refund is not received by date specified, contact the Welcome Center at your respective campus.
*Please do not contact the College prior to date noted above with (*) to inquire of a financial aid refund for the Fall term because this slows the refund process.

*PHEAA Grants will not be disbursed until late July.

To Check the Status of Your Refund:
1. Log into your account on www.haccdebitcard.com
2. In the sub-menu listed under the "Refunds" tab, select "Refund Status & History”
3. In addition, you can sign up for mobile text alerts to notify you when your refund is disbursed in accordance with your refund preference

Financial Aid Disbursement/Refund Process:
1. The entire disbursement/refund process takes about 10 business days until refunds are issued to Higher One.
2. Students will see financial aid and refund disbursement transactions on their HACCWeb accounts BUT this does not guarantee the refund process is complete.
3. Financial transactions are processed behind the scenes to generate the refund file to be sent to Higher One.
4. Once the file is transmitted to Higher One, this is the point refunds are available on the OneAccount and within 2-3 business days ACH (direct deposit to the bank account chosen) refunds will be available.
