What is a CRN?

Each class offering of any course has its own unique identification number.

This is referred to as the CRN (or Course Reference Number). Typically, the CRN consists of 5 digits for Spring or Fall semesters and 4 digits for summer semesters.

For example, you might register for a fall section of an online Accounting 101 course which has a CRN of 20001.

Hi, and welcome to the Virtual Campus. As the Virtual Campus Counselor, I am available to assist you in meeting your advising needs while at HACC. Whether you are a student who is just considering taking Virtual Campus courses, or are currently enrolled in our online classes you can feel free to contact me for answers to your questions.

If you are a current HACC student and have been assigned an Advisor, I may be able to answer some, but not all of your questions. You should make contact with your assigned Advisor for further assistance. If you do not know who your advisor is, you can find out this information by going to HACCWeb and following the instructions listed.

Some of your general questions may be answered by going to the main HACC advising page.

Current students planning to complete the majority of your courses online, may want to discuss the option of having your Advisor assignment changed to me, so I can fully assist you.
