Dropping a Course
Before dropping a course, consider what impact this might have on your health insurance, financial aid, or any other benefits you may be receiving. For more information about dropping, adding, or withdrawing from courses, see Drop/Add/Withdrawal Course Information.
Depending on your situation, it may be advisable to make alternative arrangements for completing the course work. If you have successfully completed the majority of your course work, your instructor may be willing to give you an Incomplete grade, allowing you extra time to complete the course.
If you decide to drop a course, the date you drop will determine if you are eligible to receive any tuition refund. For specific dates, see Credit Course Refund Information.
Instructor’s Approval
If the refund period has ended, you will need your instructor’s approval and signature to drop a course. You may either print and complete the Drop/Add/Withdrawal form available at the link in paragraph 1 above, or download and complete an MS Word DAW form. The document may be saved to your computer and emailed to your instructor for approval.
