Check your syllabus or ask your instructor for testing details if you are unsure if you are unsure whether your course requires paper exams. To view the paper test schedule click here.
Remember if you can not attend any of the testing dates at a regional campus, you should attend one of the testing sessions at the Harrisburg Campus, where testing extends through Wednesday during Summer semester, and through Thursday evening during Spring and Fall. You must notify the Virtual Campus office at least two weeks ahead of time if you are planning on taking an exam at a location other than the one where you registered.
Students must show valid photo ID in order to take any tests. You should arrive at least 15 minutes early to the testing session. Students may not be permitted in after testing has started.
Academic Honesty: The Academic Honesty policy is described in the HACC Student Handbook. All regulations and policies are strictly enforced by the proctors. It is the policy of the proctors to monitor testing carefully in order to discourage any attempts at academic dishonesty.
Make-up Exams
It is very rare that you will need to take a makeup exam. Every location has a variety of dates and times to help eliminate scheduling conflicts. In the unlikely event that you need to take a make-up exam, follow the procedures described below. Instructors will have different policies concerning make-up exams. Make-up exams are at the instructor's discretion. Some instructors may even prohibit make-up exams under any circumstances. Check with the instructor before missing an exam if you have any questions about his or her make-up exam policies. Check the campus links below for the days and times they are open for make-up exams.
Scheduling Information: The Test Centers will follow the college calendar. (When there are no classes, the Test Centers are closed.) The Test Center hours are strictly enforced. Click on the campus to see the dates and times for individual campus hours - Gettysburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, Harrisburg, York. Students are responsible for allotting ample time to complete their tests before the scheduled closing time of the Center. It is especially important for students to be aware of the closing time.
OFF-CAMPUS TESTING
If you are physically unable to come to one of HACC's physical locations to take your exam, you will first need to contact your instructor to get permission to take an exam with a proctor. If your instructor gives you permission, you will need to secure a qualified proctor, and complete and submit a Proctor Request Form.
