What is a CRN?

Each class offering of any course has its own unique identification number.

This is referred to as the CRN (or Course Reference Number). Typically, the CRN consists of 5 digits for Spring or Fall semesters and 4 digits for summer semesters.

For example, you might register for a fall section of an online Accounting 101 course which has a CRN of 20001.

Paper Testing Schedule

This schedule is for paper tests only.
If you are an online student, please
check your course syllabus
to determine whether you should follow this schedule.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT TESTING:
  • Exams begin at the times listed on the schedule and are two hours in length.
  • You may take an exam during any of the testing sessions listed. You do not have to take the exam when your instructor is proctoring.
  • You must bring photo identification with you. This can be a valid driver's license or a College ID card.
  • Plan to arrive early. Once testing begins, you may not be admitted to the testing session.
  • The last day's testing sessions of each exam become especially crowded and can increase test anxiety. We recommend avoiding these sessions if at all possible.
  • Cell phones and pagers must be turned off before entering testing room. Cell phones cannot be used as calculators.
  • If you are not taking an open book exam, do not bring books, backpacks and large bags into the testing room.
  • Small children are not permitted in the testing room.
  • If you plan to take the exam at a location other than your "home" campus, notify the Virtual Campus Office of your intent at least one week prior to the beginning of the testing period.
  • It is very rare that you will need to take a make-up exam due to the variety of dates and times available to you. Instructors have different policies concerning make-up exams. Check with your instructor before missing an exam if you have any questions about make-up exam policies.
  • Cheating of any kind is not permitted. Cheating includes, but is not limited to using notes during the test (unless permitted by your instructor); looking at another student's test; and asking another student for information about the test.
