Performing Arts - Theater (#2080 / PERF_ARTS_AA) Effective Fall 99 (61 credit hours)
This checksheet meets the requirements for the AA in Performing Arts - Theatre Arts from HACC. Please note that this major is presented in a sequence of courses, many of which are only offered one semester a year. Students are urged to consult with their adviser for course selection. The complete program is offered only at the Harrisburg Campus. It is offered full-time during the day; part-time during the day, evening and weekend. General Education courses may be completed at any of the HACC campuses.

Production Notes:
a. All students are required to audition for both “HACC Theatreworks” and the “Theatre for Young People" productions.

b. Final rehearsals for any production requires weekend commitments. All theatre majors must comply with this requirement.

c. Students must serve in either a technical or performance capacity in a minimum of two productions prior to graduating as a theatre major.

Pre-requisite Notes:
a. All theatre majors must have a grade of “C” or better in all pre-requisite courses to take next course in sequence.

b. All non-theatre majors must have the instructor’s signature for registration in any acting, movement or voice courses.

** Suggested transfer electives could include: THTR 145, THTR 211 (check with 4-year institution for transferability) 1) Students who wish maximum transferability of their Core, Transfer and Gen Ed Transfer electives should work closely with their transfer institution and the theatre program coordinator at HACC. Recommended program electives are listed above. However, students may also select courses from the approved Gen Ed Transfer courses listed in the HACC catalog. 2) Students are reminded that independent studies in specialized areas of Theatre can be arranged through the various theatre instructors. Please be advised that independent studies can be used toward HACC graduation credits but may not transfer.
