Date published: Jan. 27, 2025Family is important to Bailey - a first-generation college student taking classes in the Digital Art and Technology Program. One of the reasons they chose HACC is because it is “closer to home so I can take care of my sisters.”
Though they have encountered challenges while at HACC, Bailey is determined to push forward. “It started off rough my first fall semester but I’m trying to push myself to succeed and try my very best,” Bailey said.
As Bailey continues their career in art, they plan to take their newfound confidence with them. “I feel a lot more mature and responsible for my actions,” they said. “I’m not afraid to speak up for myself if I don’t need or like something.”
The knowledge Bailey gains at HACC will jumpstart their goal of earning a bachelor’s degree in animation, and later, open their own indie animation studio with their sisters.
