Date published: Jan. 27, 2025Ethan Poetic’s story is built on embracing opportunity. After a near-death experience with a head on collision with an 18-wheeler, Ethan endured a long journey of physical, speech and occupational therapy.
Following his accident, Ethan saw education as a way to change his life. “Going to HACC’s Lancaster Campus was a humbling experience of taking Red Rose Bus Transportation early in the morning and back into Lancaster,” Ethan said.
At HACC, Ethan pursued general studies. Since graduating, Ethan earned a bachelor’s degree from Millersville University and wrote and published his autobiography, “The Inspirational Story of Ethan A. Poetic: Chronicles of Adversities, Education, Sports, Relationships and Resiliency.”
Ethan now shares his wisdom as a keynote speaker, author, mental health advocate and mentor. “My story has inspired the youth, their parents, guardians, leaders, communities and social media to see beauty in my struggles,” Ethan said. “I have become a better version of myself.”
HACC helped give Ethan the skills he needed to succeed. He said, “HACC provided me an opportunity to become a better version of myself, exceed expectations, leave my mark on planet Earth and add more to my legacy.”
