Older American Education Day at Gettysburg Campus Offers Wide Range of Topics

The Gettysburg Campus of Harrisburg Community College is hosting Older American Education Day on Tuesday, March 13, from 8:30am to 2:30pm for individuals 50 and over. Seminars will include a wide-variety of topics:

  • The Terra Cotta Army of China-Wonder of Wonders
  • Conservative Investing in a Volatile Market
  • Medicinal Plants of the Civil War
  • A Tour of Caribbean Taste
  • Tastes of the Big Island-Cuba
  • Operas Beyond the Fringe
  • To Make a More Perfect Union: Causes of the American Civil War
  • Improving Your Memory and Learning
  • Art Masterpieces of the Millennium
  • Computer Sharing Made Easy
  • Gardening Tidbits
  • When War Came to Call: York County During the Gettysburg Campaign
  • Music to Learn By
  • Manet: Realist and Impressionist
  • Where Did I Put It? Computer File Management
  • Investment Alternatives for Funding a College Education
  • York Countians in the Battle of Gettysburg
  • Colonial Roads of Southern Pennsylvania and Maryland

The cost of the one-day program is $42 and includes a continental breakfast, choice of three seminar topics and buffet luncheon. To register or for more information contact the Community Education Center at the Gettysburg Campus at 337-3855.
