Architecture classes at Gettysburg Campus

The Gettysburg Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) will offer two classes this spring for architecture buffs.

The History of Architecture will be offered on two Wednesdays, April 7 and 14, from 7-9 p.m. at the HACC Campus, 731 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg.

Topics will include the evolution of architecture in the area, how to identify the main periods of architecture, elements of styles and influences, and cultural context and continuity.

A Classroom View - Tour of Area Architecture will be offered in one session, Wednesday, April 21, from 7-9 p.m., at the HACC campus.

Participants will enjoy regional architecture, history, and stories of Adams County and Hanover from their classroom seats. Class will include slides and a talk. A map that can be used for a self-guided walking tour of the area will be provided.
