Gettysburg Campus of HACC Offers Conversational Spanish, Tennis for Life

Conversational Spanish and Tennis for Life are just two of the community education courses available next month at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college.

Conversational Spanish I will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 4-30 from 5-7 p.m., at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, 731 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg.

This course will teach basic language skills, thereby enhancing employment qualifications or simply satisfying personal growth. The course teaches basic vocabulary, common expressions, and proper pronunciation.

Tennis for Life will be taught at New Oxford High School, Berlin Road, New Oxford, Tuesdays, August 24-September 28, 7-9 p.m.

Students will learn to play a game that will provide lifelong activity. They will learn fundamental skills of the game, including ground strokes (forehand and backhand), serving, volley, and lob shots. Students must provide their own tennis racket.
