Lancaster Campus Will Offer Class in PDA Use

July 15, 2004
Not sure what PDA even stands for? Time to play a little technology catch-up. Those who are new to personal digital assistants (PDA) can quickly learn their use for maximum efficiency with a one-night class offered next month at the Lancaster Campus of HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college.

Using a Personal Digital Assistant will be offered on Wednesday, Aug. 4, from 6-9 p.m. This workshop is an introduction to Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), also referred to as "hand helds." Students will receive an overview of mobile technology and demonstration of the pen interface functions using the Palm Pilot OS (operating system).

Palm Pilots are not required for this course, as a simulator will be used in the classroom; however, students are encouraged to bring their Palm or other PDA to class.

This is just one of the many Community Education classes offered this summer at the Lancaster Campus of HACC located at 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike. Information may be obtained by accessing www.hacc.edu/lancaster/wed or calling (717) 358-2901.
