College fair set for Strawberry Square to target adult learners

Nov. 9, 2005
Adult learners interested in continuing education opportunities should plan to attend a college fair on Tuesday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lower level of Strawberry Square.

HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, will join more than 10 local colleges and universities participating in the event. Representatives from the schools will be on hand to discuss available programs, as well as the admissions process and financial aid.

"We are targeting the non-traditional student with this college fair," explained Sandra Daniels, HACC admissions recruiter for adult students and GED students. "We attract a lot of people coming in through Strawberry Square. They often stop to find out information on training for themselves as well as for their children."

Participating in the fair are Albright College, Duquesne University, Central Pennsylvania College, Eastern Mennonite University, Elzabethtown College, Lebanon Valley College, HACC, Harrisburg University, Pennsylvania State University, Shippensburg University, Temple University, Widener School of Law and York Technical Institute.
