HACC hosts Older American Educational Days - Fall Fest

Older adults who enjoy learning will have a unique one-day opportunity to pursue their interests offered at HACC's Older American Educational Days - Fall Fest, held locally at the college's Harrisburg Campus.

Older American Educational Days - Fall Fest is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 21. Cost is $65 for the day that begins with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and includes three 1-1/2 hour sessions and lunch. The day concludes at 2:30 p.m.

All classes, presentations and meals will be held at the C. Ted Lick/Wildwood Conference Center. Participants should make a first and second choice when selecting classes.

Session 1 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. includes the Peoples and Cultures of Southeast Asia, Letters . . . We Get Letters . . . We Get Stacks and Stacks of Letters, Archangels, A Musical Journey: The Middle Ages and Renaissance, First to Fall - The Life and Death of George W. Sandoe, J. Horace McFarland: A Thorn for Beauty; Internet Savvy, and Introduction to Native American Spirituality.

Session 2 from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. includes The Magic and Mystery of Numbers, Letters . . . We Get Letters . . . We Stacks and Stacks of Letters, Boadicea: Warrior Queen, A Musical Journey: Baroque and Classical, Black History Stories From The Gettysburg Jail, 300 Years of Harrisburg's Movers and Shapers, Internet Savvy, Basic Self Defense, Protection Against Scams, and Medicine Wheel Basics.

Session 3 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. includes The Peoples and Cultures of Southeast Asia, Letters . . . We Get Letters . . . We Get Stacks and Stacks of Letters, Eleanor of Aquitaine, A Musical Journey: Romantic and Twentieth Century, Unexpected Roots - Artists with Adams County Connections, The "Must See" Attractions of Pennsylvania, Internet Savvy, Protection Against Scams, and Animals as Totems and Teachers.
