Featuring a group of four brilliant young musicians, Quatrotango, and one of Argentina's finest singers Diago Fama and ten torrid dancers, Tango Fire offers a journey through the history of Tango - the world's most alluring and exciting dance. "Sensuous twists and turns, lightning-sharp interaction between a pair of dancers, great music, sexy costumes and glamorous performers make Tango Fire a show that is full of adrenalin and good humour." -Sydney Morning Herald

Since its formation in Buenos Aires in 1996, Estampas Porteñas' success has been phenomenal both within its own country and abroad touring Europe, Asia and Latin-America to high acclaim. It was founded by the distinguished Argentine ballerina and choreographer, Carolina Soler. Beginning her career in classical ballet, Carolina Soler was well known for her dazzling portrayal of the traditional classical ballet roles. In Estampas Porteñas she returns to the dance form that is the heart and soul of her home country.

Tango, Argentina's gift to the world, is one of the most alluring and exciting dance forms, evoking sensuality and intrigue, lust, raw energy and knife-edge precision. Tango Fire traces the history of Tango, from its origins in the red light district of Buenos Aires to the glamour of the Roaring Twenties; and its evolution to the world of contemporary ballroom. The music of Astor Piazzolla, Rodriguez and others is played live onstage by internationally known band, Quatrotango. Whether accompanying the dancers or playing on their own, Quatrotango is an exciting ensemble of classically trained musicians able to generate as much heat as the dancers. When the two combine -sparks fly.

Instructors and dancers of the Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Lemoyne and York will present a pre-event tango demonstration at 7pm in the Studio Theatre. Tango Fire will be presented at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on Friday, November 10 at 8pm. Tickets are SOLD-OUT.
