HACC names new director of media relations

HACC has named M. Pamilla Saylor of South Middleton Township as director of media relations for the college. Her responsibilities encompass the media relations program for HACC and its regional campuses in Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York. She supervises and arranges public announcements, serves as a spokeswoman and point of contact for press inquiries and promotes the mission of HACC and its role in the progressive development of the central Pennsylvania region.

Saylor formerly was the deputy managing editor for the The Sentinel, Carlisle. She previously served in several management positions at The York Dispatch/Sunday News and other publications in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Tennessee.

Saylor's work in news writing has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Publishers Association, the National Headliners and the New Jersey Daily Newspaper Association. Saylor, a Tennessee native, has a bachelor's degree in journalism from The University of Tennessee, where she also did graduate work in secondary English toward a master's degree.
