Harrisburg Campus of HACC offers water exercise, other noncredit community education classes

Those looking to get in shape for summer but without the stress to the joints of many traditional exercises have a host of water exercise classes from which to choose at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

These and other non-credit community education classes are also a great way to make new friends with similar interests and pick up new knowledge on a host of subjects.

Water exercise classes to be held at HACC include the following:

Liquid Dynamics, Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 to 10 a.m., June 25 to July 25; swimming ability not required; water shoes recommended. Cost is $45.

Deep Water Power Workout, Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:15 to 11 a.m., June 25 to July 25; participants must be comfortable in deep water; flotation belts worn during class. Cost is $34.

Aquasize, Mondays and Wednesdays, 5 to 6 p.m., June 25 to August 13; participants must be comfortable in deep water. No class July 4. Cost is $59.

Wave Walkers, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:10 to 4:55 p.m., June 25 to August 13; water shoes recommended but not required. No class July 4. Cost is $44.

Deep Hydropower, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., June 26 to July 26; intermediate/advanced level class limited to 18 students. Cost is $45.

Cardio Core Training, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 to 11 a.m., June 26 to July 26; participants must be comfortable in deep water; flotation belts worn during class. Cost is $45.

Other classes include eBay Savvy, taught by an eBay member since 1999 who regularly buys and sells merchandise. Selected topics covered will include registration, scams, bidding, photo options, fees, sniping, shipping, selling, buying, protecting your good name and more. Classes will be held Tuesdays, 6-8 p.m., July 17 to 24. Cost is $40.

Interior Trends 2007-2008 focusing on color combinations, styles and accessories will be offered at Gehman & Company, Mechanicsburg, Tuesdays, 6-9 p.m., June 5 to 26. Cost is $88.
