Getting started at HACC easy at La Academia

Enroll, take placement tests, see counselor on Dec. 4
Nov. 7, 2008
LANCASTER – Get started on the path to a brighter future by enrolling in evening classes offered by HACC-Lancaster right in your own neighborhood at the Spanish American Civic Association (SACA’s) La Academia.
Prospective students are invited to complete all of the necessary steps in just one visit to La Academia, 38 N. Ann St., from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4.
At this one-stop registration event, students pay a $35 admissions application fee then begin the registration process with an information session. Next, math and English placement testing is offered. Students should allow approximately two hours for completing this part of the process.
After placement testing, students can meet with academic advisors for help on selecting classes and with financial aid staff to discuss payment options.
HACC-Lancaster will offer five courses starting the last week in January, including English, math, strategy-based reading, college success and a course on the national political system.
