The public is invited to the free, family-friendly event 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in the Cooper Student Center on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Celebrate dances from Africa, Ireland, India and China. Hear Korean drummers and the voices of a Pennsylvania German chorus. Exhibitors and vendors complement the festival with Indian, Korean and Latino foods and crafted items.
Activities for children continue from noon-4 p.m. and are designed to bring an appreciation for other cultures. Different stations offer play dough, coloring, face painting, masks, musical instruments and beading.
Irv’s Carriage Rides returns with horse and carriage rides from noon-2 p.m.
“Everyone is invited to this family-friendly campus event to see and appreciate the different traditions we have right here locally,” said Michael Sandy, director of international education and mulitcultural affairs. “It’s a fun way to learn about different cultures, our interconnectedness and the diversity in our communities.”
