HACC offers military-focused trip to Washington, D.C.

Special education tour planned for Nov. 14

Harrisburg, PA –Whether your focus is on the study of World War II or you are just interested in historical topics, HACC’s special educational tour has a lot to offer for individual study.
“A Focus on History, WWII” is a daylong trip that leaves the Harrisburg Campus at 6 a.m., picks up passengers at the Gettysburg Campus at 6:45 a.m., and stops for a quick breakfast en route. By 10 a.m., participants will arrive at the new National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, Va. After lunch (on your own), the bus returns to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II National Memorial before continuing to the National Holocaust Museum.
Participants will have dinner in Georgetown (on your own) before returning to Central Pennsylvania.
The one-day bus trip is from 6 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. The cost is $65.
Other highlights of the numerous and varied continuing education classes this fall are “The Shack,” an inspirational book review, from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, cost $30; “Focusing on the Depression,” from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, cost $20; “Whiskey Rebellion,” from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, cost $35; and “Holiday Decorating,” from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, cost $29.
HACC offers a variety of noncredit courses with something for most everyone. Go to www.hacc.edu and click on Noncredit Courses. There you’ll find a list of what’s offered and when at all of HACC’s five campus, including Harrisburg, Lancaster, Gettysburg, Lebanon and York. The link leads you to the Shopping Cart where you can enroll. Users receive an e-mail confirming enrollment.
