HACC Chef Instructor Michael Finch of Harrisburg is among eight chefs from across the country who received Cutting Edge Awards from the American Culinary Federation at the recent national convention in Anaheim, Calif. The award was presented to culinary professionals in recognition of their leadership and service to the culinary profession. Finch, an ACF Certified Executive Chef, is one of only 15 chefs in Pennsylvania to hold the ACF’s designation of Approved Certification Evaluator (ACE). He is a member of ACF’s National Accreditation Team, the World Association of Chefs, the Food and Beverage Conference Committee for the Pennsylvania Tourism & Lodging Association, and vice president of the ACF’s Harrisburg Chapter 181. Finch was awarded the Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Culinary Arts in June.
