Get started on college with HACC classes in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG – Start earning credits toward a college degree this fall at Chambersburg Area Senior High School with classes offered by HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Potential students can find out more about business, criminal justice, social sciences and healthcare services as well as HACC's in-demand trade and technology careers during a free information session from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the high school, 511 S. Sixth St. Counselors will be on hand to explain transfer degree and in-demand career options also available at HACC.
HACC's fall semester begins Aug. 22, with classes available during the day and evening. Registration for fall classes is under way.
In addition, students will be able to enroll, take placement testing and get advising services at the new HACC Student Services Office in the high school. The office is staffed by
Eve Weaver, HACC's Franklin County coordinator, and Heather Watt, HACC recruiter and student services counselor.
HACC also offers career programs in mechatronics, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and technology studies at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.
