Students graduate from associate degree, certificate nursing programs at HACC-Lancaster Campus

Graduates recognized for academic, clinical achievements

LANCASTER – Graduates of HACC’s associate degree nursing program and certificate practical nursing program at the Lancaster Campus received their nursing pins in recent ceremonies.
In the associate degree program, 75 graduate nurses have successfully completed HACC’s two-year, clinical nursing program and are now qualified to take the state licensure exam to become registered nurses.
Several graduating RN students were recognized during the ceremony:
  • Cesar Velasco of Ronks received the Terry Regitz Spirit of Nursing Award and the Sara J. Sigafoos Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence.
  • Jessica Francis of Lebanon was also a recipient of the Sigafoos Memorial Award.
  • Siobhan Downey of Red Lion and Rachel Dishong of Palmyra received the Good Samaritan Health System Award for Excellence in Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction.
  • Irene Brubaker of Elizabethtown and Julie Smith of Mount Gretna received the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center Award for Compassionate Nursing Care.
  • Lisa Wolf of York and Matthew McGowan of Landisville received the Lancaster Regional Medical Center Award for Leadership.
  • Rhonda Gusherowski of Hummelstown received the Nursing Faculty Award for Academic Achievement.
  • Jennifer Noonan of York received the Nursing Faculty Award for Exemplary Nursing Practice.

  • Amanda D. Wildasin of Dallastown received the Landis Homes Retirement Community Award for Compassionate Nursing Care.
  • Cynthia A. Gurtizen of Millersville received the Willow Valley Retirement Community Award for Excellence in Gerontological Nursing.
  •  Sarah J. Erwin of Mount Wolf received the Nursing Faculty Award for Academic Achievement.
  • Lisa Hoff of York received the Nursing Faculty Award for Exemplary Nursing Practice.
