Send youth off to 'college' by enrolling them in summer 2010 enrichment programs at HACC-Lancaster Campus

LANCASTER – Send your kids off to “college” for one week this summer 2010 by enrolling them in at HACC-Lancaster Campus’ Kids College or choose the School of Rock: Playing Guitar.
HACC Kids College is a four-day camp that gives youth, ages 8-13 years old, an opportunity to develop and explore a variety of interests, spark creativity and provide a unique learning experience in a college setting.
The camp meets from 8 a.m.-noon Monday-Thursday, June 28-July 1, 2010, at a cost of $119. Campers will find a wealth of brand new courses from which to choose to explore the arts, sciences, languages and culture in three one-hour sessions each day. A snack break is included in the program.

The School of Rock: Playing the Guitar is a musical opportunity for youth, 12-17 years old. The four-day camp meets from 1-4 p.m. July 12-15, 2010, and costs $99.
Whether your student is an absolute beginner or moderate learner, this camp offers music appreciation 101 and teaches quick and basic chords as well as popular riffs. Teens will make new friends and learn about life in a rock band. Campers should bring an acoustic or electric guitar, guitar picks, a tuner, drumsticks, pencils, and a notebook. There is no prerequisite for the class.
