HACC Says Thank You through a Bicycle Tour and Week-Long ReDISCOVER College Event
April 8, 2014

HARRISBURG, Pa. – What is Pennsylvania’s first established community college planning this month to thank the community and students for their commitment over the last 50 years? HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, has a long list of events lined up from April 21-27, 2014, to say thank you and show the communities how HACC is completely YOURS.

From April 21-26, 2014 HACC is opening its doors to give the public a chance to ReDISCOVER HACC. More than 60 FREE events and activities are lined up for the public to enjoy – from open classrooms, lectures and earth day celebrations to a panel discussion, movie screening of “1,000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story” and open houses. The College is excited to invite the community back to see how much it’s evolved and how it continues to expand the horizons for individuals of all ages. Some events require an RSVP, so please visit www.hacc.edu/rediscover to learn more.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 HACC’s President John J. "Ski" Sygielski, Ed.D., will begin bicycling more than 150 miles to stop at HACC's Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York campuses – in just three days. Sygielski will kick off Dr. Ski’s Miles of Gratitude – Tour de HACC by bicycling to HACC’s Lebanon Campus first to give away FREE bicycles, at least five $1,000 scholarships, t-shirts, gift cards and more. From there, he will continue his route to the other campuses to give away similar items. The public is encouraged to attend.
