York-based Shipley Energy is partnering with HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, to help meet the needs of students entering a career in transportation and bring awareness to the transportation industry. Shipley Energy recognizes the need for highly trained commercial driver’s license (CDL) operators and established a CDL scholarship to help reduce barriers of entry for HACC students in need of financial assistance.

The newly established Shipley Energy CDL Scholarship Fund will benefit students enrolled in the CDL Program at HACC’s Harrisburg Campus. The funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and/or program expenses. Eligible students can apply for the scholarship at hacc.edu/scholarships.

Shipley Energy Day will recognize this new partnership. This free event is open to members of the public who have an interest in CDL training and employment opportunities. Shipley Energy team members will present job information, and vehicles will be on site.
