HACC Nursing Students Administer COVID-19 Vaccinations

This story is part of our ongoing “HACC Heroes” series. We recognize the severity of the global coronavirus pandemic and its impact on our communities. During this challenging time, we want to thank and recognize HACC employees, students and others who are making a difference. The heroes of this story are students and faculty from HACC’s Nursing Program.
 
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Nursing students and faculty from HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, are contributing to the effort to administer COVID-19 vaccinations for individuals throughout the region.
 
Students have been placed at vaccination sites including the Cumberland County Community Vaccine Clinic in Carlisle and the Dauphin County/UPMC Vaccination Community Clinic in Harrisburg.
 
This summer, HACC nursing students will be scheduled to participate in vaccination clinics as part of the clinical experience that is required for the program.
