Meet Katherine: Motivated to Reach Her Goals

"HACC has made my life better because it gives me the motivation to work for my education."

Katherine not only chose HACC because of its proximity to her home, but also so she could explore different majors and decide which career path to pursue without breaking the bank.

Not long after enrolling at the College, Katherine was able to do just that. In fact, one of her favorite HACC memories is selecting her major and “learning what makes me happy and the ways I can pursue that into the future.”

Katherine completed an Associate in Fine Arts in photography and took classes at the Harrisburg Campus. “HACC has made my life better because it gives me motivation to work for my education and help others with the information I have learned,” she said.

The people at HACC have also had a positive impact on Katherine and shown her that “no matter what age you are, you are never too old to go back to school because learning can be a fun experience.”

Above all, enrolling at the College allowed Katherine to work toward her dream job. After graduating, she transferred to a four-year school to continue her education.
