• Description:

  In the film, “Get Out” writer/ director Jordan Peele describes the sunken place as an evil purgatory that suppresses the freedom of black people by being the manifestation of oppression in which, “no matter how hard we scream, the system silences us.” This session will begin to provide an introductory exploration into the pathology of Blackness and Black Identity in the United States.
