New Student Orientation

Welcome to HACC!

To help you get started on your educational journey, HACC offers in-person and online New Student Orientations. Dates, times and campuses vary. New Student Orientation is a mandatory part of your enrollment process.

After activating your myHACC account and HAWKMail, you will receive an email with instructions on your next steps to enrollment, including scheduling your New Student Orientation.

New Student Orientation prepares you to transition into college life at HACC. During the session, we will cover:

  • HACC policies and your rights as a HACC student
  • Student resources and services
  • Financial aid and paying for school
  • Tips to navigate HACC technologies (pdf)
  • Next steps to advising and registration
  • Tips for academic success
  • How to get involved at HACC

All of HACC’s New Student Orientations are open to friends and family of our students.

Check out Orientation Homebase for important enrollment information and more.

  6. Check out our Tips and Tricks or watch our Zoom video tutorials if you are attending New Student Orientation online.
  7. Be ready to take notes during your orientation session.

After New Student Orientation

You’re almost ready to start at HACC! Before your first day of class, be sure to:

  1. Meet with your advisor to register for classes and build your educational plan.
  2. Meet with a success coach to register for classes if you are a dual enrolled student.
  3. Talk to a career coach to find out more about your program and possible career options.
