Bradley A. Leidich, professor of respiratory care and director for the respiratory care program at Harrisburg Area Community College, was elected to the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Leidich is one of four educators nationally who represents the American Association for Respiratory Care on CoARC for a four-year term.

Working as a national site evaluator for CoARC since 1990, Leidich visits colleges and universities throughout the United States that are in the process of self study in resident respiratory care programs. Leidich assists by evaluating respiratory care programs on-site, making sure the programs are in compliance with national standards, and makes recommendations for improvement.

As a board member for CoARC, Leidich oversees the accreditation or reaccreditation process for assigned respiratory care programs. He also assists in setting policy and developing/maintaining standards for respiratory care schools nationally.

Leidich holds an associate degree from Harrisburg Area Community College, bachelor's degree from Penn State, a certificate from St. Joseph Hospital School for Respiratory Care, and a master's degree in education from Temple University.
