Eight students were recognized today during a ceremony at HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college, for completing the diagnostic medical sonography program.

The program is offered jointly by HACC and Pinnacle Health. HACC coordinates arrangements for faculty, curriculum and instruction. Pinnacle Health offers the labs, equipment, and one of several area clinical sites where students complete the on-site portion of the curriculum. Students in the program complete their classes at HACC's Penn Center, then travel the short distance of one block to the former Polyclinic Hospital for lab time.

Those students recognized for completing the program included:

Carlisle - Glenn Scales

East Berlin - Melissa Ceravola

Fayetteville - Allison Rush

Hummelstown - Ying Tan

Lancaster - Chancel Jean

Lititz - Crystal Miller

Mechanicsburg - David Jaycox

Palmyra - Dean Pascal

The students are eligible to participate in HACC's winter commencement ceremony on January 8. After completing the program, students are eligible to take the registry exam given by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
