Public interest and knowledge has increased about the health, beauty and soothing benefits of tea, and registration is already filling for two classes offered in November by the Lancaster Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

Chinese Beauty Tea is a demonstration class that will be offered Monday, Nov. 15, from 6-8:30 p.m., by Foong Chee, Chinese instructor at the Lancaster Campus of HACC.

Tea is known to have properties that may prevent cancer and relieve stress. Drinking tea can cleanse the body's system and counteract damage from fatty foods.

Beauty tea, in particular, is also good for the complexion, and Chee will share her all-natural secrets for a healthier, more supple and radiant skin.

The class will learn they can savor a cup of soothing and beautifying tea by investing only a few minutes to prepare a handful of health-fortifying ingredients.

Chinese Health-Enhancing Tea is a demonstration class that also will be taught by Foong Chee on Monday, Nov. 29, from 6-8:30 p.m.

The class will unwind over cookies and a Chinese health-enhancing tea while Chee discusses how to brew the special tea(s). She also will introduce the wide varieties of teas that Chinese people prepare to enhance health and youthfulness. This overview of traditional Chinese tea culture will also touch upon Chinese tea music and tea sets.

Early registration is suggested for these popular classes. They are just some of the many culinary classes in the Community Education offerings at the Lancaster Campus of HACC located at 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike.
