Compensation is a major concern for everyone who earns a paycheck. For those who must make decisions about what to offer as pay and benefits, the difficult question of how to arrive at the best compensation formula is always a problem. Tom Wozniak, a nationally recognized expert with Strategic Compensation Planning, Inc., plans to offer some answers to compensation issues during HACC's first Town Hall Executive Briefing on Wednesday, May 11 from noon to 2pm. Wozniak's presentation takes place in the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

Wozniak has authored articles on executive compensation trends and is often quoted in leading financial and business publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Philadelphia Business Journal, and The Economist and Wealth magazines. For the May 11 event Wozniak will discuss new trends in employee compensation. With many organizations making hard choices between increasing pay and preserving benefit opportunities for employees, this is an opportunity for executives to learn how organizations are changing the rules while maintaining employee morale and commitment.

Town Hall Executive Briefings are sponsored by HACC's Workforce and Economic Development (WED) Division and its partners of the Regional Manufacturing Workforce Transition Center. Seating for the May 11 briefing is limited and reservations are required. To reserve a seat, call 780-2414 or 780-2616. Payment of $25 is due at the time the reservation is made. Although refunds are not available for reservations, substitutions are welcome for upcoming briefings.

The Workforce Transition Center offers customized human resources management services, connects employers in South Central Pennsylvania to public funding sources and training providers, and assists companies with identifying training and skills improvement areas to retain their current workforce.

HACC's Workforce and Economic Development Division offers training for central Pennsylvania's workforce including needs assessments, curriculum/course development, customized training, follow-up training or assessments and funding sources through the Customized Job Training Act (CJT) and WEDnetPA.
