HACC now offers day, evening and Saturday classes in York. Students who come to Registration Night can select their classes and arrange for tuition payment. Placement tests that begin at 5pm are for new students. The test enables HACC to place students at the correct course level in English and math. Students who do not use English as a native language must complete an English as a Second Language assessment.
"This registration event is a convenient way to streamline the admissions process," said Jean Treuthart, director of the York Center. "New students can apply, test and meet with an advisor all in one night."
HACC's 40 thousand square foot center in York will open its doors to the public in time for the start of the fall semester on August 22. That space will include 10 general classrooms, science, allied health and computer labs as well as a bookstore. The new center, located at 2010 Pennsylvania Avenue, will accommodate up to a thousand students with room to grow.
