More than 100 employers will be on hand to share employment information and conduct interviews during HACC's two-day spring internship and job fair scheduled for Tuesday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 19. Open to the community, the free event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day in the Cooper Student Center on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

While many of the employers will participate on both days of the annual event, HACC is featuring employers from specific industries each day of the fair. On the first day, the focus will be on business, computers, science, hospitality, engineering and trades. Education, human services, communications and the arts, healthcare and public safety will be featured the second day.

"The number of employers participating in the fair has increased each year," explained Sheila Ciotti, director of career services. "We opened the event to the community last year. Beyond the benefit to the community and the employers, it has led to a broader and more comprehensive job fair."

Job seekers should come to the fair properly dressed and fully prepared to participate in on-site interviews, according to Ciotti.

"We have employers interested in hiring for career positions in all types of majors," she said. "It is important for anyone interested in succeeding to put their best foot forward."

In addition to learning about many full- and part-time employment and internship opportunities, participants can explore HACC's workforce development and training programs available on the Harrisburg Campus.
