Harrisburg, PA — HACC Wildwood Singers will present their 2008 Fall Choral Concert, “Rituals of Life: Celebrating rituals (informal and formal) common to people the world over,” 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center theatre on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
         This concert is free and open to the public. The following selections, directed by Tina Bakowski, associate professor of music, will include: traditional Irish tune,“Mairi’s Wedding;” Sephardic lullaby,“Durme, Durme;” John Tavener’s “Funeral Ikos;” “Sing a Song of Sixpence” from John Rutter’s “Five Childhood Lyrics;” and “O Magnum Mysterium,” a Christmas motet  by Renaissance composer Tomas Luis da Victoria.
         The Wildwood Singers includes members Heather Weaver, Janet Rosenshine, Amber Zambrana, Chelsea Nygren, Samantha Sube, Chelsea Woods, Judith Nagata, Heather Puglisse, Sarah Bender, Anne Kelliher, Kara Walden, Kay Morgan, Matthew McCottry, Brian Kostukovich, Steven Logan, Michael Gibson, Jared Heisey, and Luke White. Vocal solos will be performed by Amber Zambrana and Heather Weaver. A vocal duet will feature Kara Walden and Michael Gibson. The piano accompanist for the concert will be Annelise Hein. Additional accompaniment will be provided by Tommy Kochel (HACC associate professor, ESL and English) playing the bodhrán (Irish drum) and Jim Schaefer playing uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes).
