HARRISBURG — The Rose Lehrman Arts Center launches its new artist series name, Live at Rose Lehrman, with an amazing collection of exceptional shows for the 2008-09 season.
“We are thrilled to unveil a new season and a new image: ‘Live at Rose Lehrman’,” says Teri Guerrisi, director of arts center at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. “We proudly continue our presentations of live professional theatre, music and family shows with a focus on distinctive world-class dance events.”
The new Live at Rose Lehrman season features four professional major dance events including several two-night engagements of the holiday show Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana and the hip hop dancing of Rennie Harris Puremovement. Additionally, the season features the gospel and soulful sounds of The Dixie Hummingbirds; dance artistry of Ailey II (a sister company to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater); a Polka Celebration in Cooper Student Center; the epic theatre piece “Henry V;” a Girls Nite Out with “Hormonal Imbalance;” fabulous jazz dance by Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago; plus two events for children: Missoula Children’s Theatre “The Princess and the Pea” and a return visit of TheatreworksUSA for “If You Give a Pig a Pancake and other story books."
