Open House scheduled

YORK – More than 2,000 students have chosen HACC’s York Campus for their college education. Find out why at HACC’s Get It Started open house on Nov. 15. This fall event provides an opportunity for prospective students to explore their options when it comes to post secondary education whether they are ready to start class in January or considering options for next fall.

Visitors can get their questions answered and explore the multiple ways of pursuing a career path during the open house from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the York Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, 2010 Pennsylvania Ave.

Staff members will review HACC’s enrollment process, tuition payment options, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and explain how credits transfer to four-year schools. HACC’s student services staff also will provide information on academic advising, learning center assistance and student activities. In addition, faculty and students will give their best advice for being successful in college.

HACC meets a wide range of needs for York County residents. Details will be available on English as a Second Language programs and Spanish-language GED classes at the York Campus – programs that can either help students with their competency in current classes or help them move toward a GED and on to college level coursework. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the campus and select sessions based on their individual interests.

For more information about the Get it Started open house call the campus at 718-0328. No registration is required for this free event. Enrollment for spring classes is going on now. Day classes begin January 14 and evening and Saturday classes begin the week of January 26.
