LANCASTER – Celebrate the Year of the Ox at the third annual Chinese New Year Celebration from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Lancaster Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
This free, family event will be held in Room 203 of the East Building of the campus, 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike. It is sponsored by the Multicultural Affairs Office at the Lancaster Campus in partnership with the Lancaster Chinese Association.
Harry Kao, executive director of the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs, will present Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell’s proclamation for the Year of the Ox. Activities include performances by the Dance Troop of the Lancaster Chinese Association, traditional Chinese food, an origami demonstration and karaoke.
