HARRISBURG – If attending college is on your radar screen, plan to take advantage of free “Get It Started” open houses from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Two free sessions are offered, one at the Cooper Student Center on the Harrisburg Campus and the other at HACC’s Midtown 2 at 1500 N.Third St.
Those who attend either event will interact with faculty and current students, as well as take tours of the campus. In addition, participants will learn about financial aid and how to apply, how HACC credits transfer to four-year schools, and how easy it is to enroll and attend.
At the Cooper Student Center, participants also will attend mini-sessions on in-demand careers and transfer to four-year schools; learn about student life, clubs, athletics, and activities; and tour the campus’ health career facilities.
Future students who attend the “Get It Started” open house at Midtown 2 will find out about HACC’s many trade and technology programs; tour the state-of-the-art facilities, including the training labs in the Green Center; attend college success and financial aid workshops; and get a bird’s-eye-view of HACC’s engineering career and transfer options during Engineering Night.
